| One of many Agrias species in South America. Agrias beautifica is one of the least known Agrias and one of the most unique; while most Agrias feature a bright combination of red and blue, this mid-canopy dweller is more fond of a green and blue decor. Frequently seen "puddling" with other butterflies. Some Agrias are known as 88 or 89 butterflies due to a patterning on the underside which is similar to the number. |
